Roleplay Hello thread

Welcome, Ioann! I'm one of the moderators of the Roleplaying forum. We have a couple of active games going at the moment, and you could also start one of your own if you feel up to the challenge, though I'd recommend playing a bit first.

Welsh and I are jointly running Zombie Apocalypse, and we are always looking for new players. I started out as a player when the game began in June, and since October I've been helping to run it. At this point I'm the lead writer, though Welsh has plenty of creative input and we collaborate on our ideas often. There's quite a bit of game to catch up on.

There are several other posts on this board that are related to the game (all of them with Zombie Apocalypse in the title). Some of them have information that may spoil the story, though. If you do decide to play, let me know. The game is a lot of fun, both to play and to run. Welsh and I will help you learn the rules if you decide to play; they're fairly simple for the most part.

There is no character creation in Zombie Apocalypse, as all characters in the game are pregenerated. Each player chooses three characters to play, which is a good thing since this is a very lethal game and a lot of characters have already died.

There is also Systematic Annihilation, a freeform roleplaying game set 30 years after the events of Fallout 2. Trag originally started the game, but he hasn't been seen on the board in several months. I'm involved in that game as well, and Stompie and I have been keeping it running in his absence. I haven't had as much time to update it as I used to, but I'm hoping that will change. That story also requires some catching up. Hello there! My characters name is Brock Stone and I just barely joined here. And one question, what are the rules about jumping into Roleplays?
 
The rules are simple- ask the keeper for permission first.

For instance, Zombie Apoc is all pre-generator characters using a Call of Cthulhu system. If you were to jump into that roleplay, I'd have to ban you for being a dumb ass.

That said, if you asked for permission, we'd love to have you. Different games have different rules, so know the game before you jump.

Simple?
 
Hey everyone, I joined in not so long ago and noticed you guys have an RP board, I've been catching up on the Zombie Apoc thread, but I'm not very interested, besides, it already seems to be pretty filled up as it is. Was wondering if anyone was going to start up a new one anytime soon? I'm kinda in the mood for a good Fallout RP :D
 
Welcome, SixGunSound, Plasma-pip, and Ubik! Zombie Apocalypse is actually far from full and we could always use more players, but if you're not interested in joining that's fine. There is a freeform Fallout RP currently underway here called Systematic Annihilation. Trag, who started the thread, hasn't been seen on this board for almost a year now. Stompie and I both joined early on, and we're the only ones left now. It hasn't been updated in a month because I was waiting for Stompie to get back - he's been very busy lately. If you want to join that, let me know.

Lt. Col. Gonzalez is also hoping to start his RP idea called The Lost Platoon. It's not Fallout, but you might want to check it out to see if you're interested.

You can also start your own Fallout RP if you like: freeform, SPECIAL, or any system you and your players would like to use.

I love the Fallout setting and other post-apocalyptic settings, but they're hard to find on other boards (at least the ones I've been to), so here I am. The home of Fallout.

Welcome back, Stompie! Your Zombie Apocalypse characters are all still alive and well. Feel free to catch up, and to join back in that and Systematic Annihilation any time you like, but there's no rush. I've got tons of other things I need to do in the meantime anyway.

Whelp - I got evacuated. Looks like my school, place of employment, and home are all in jepordy. I'm sitting in a motel six in Victorville, about 120 miles east of San Diego.
 
you can call me Guarnere Blizzard , which i pick for roleplaying (real name Guven Başar) Well i am learning Foreign languages mostly english at school and a fan of fallout (don't know if it got a point saying that) age 17 by the way. Just wanted to say hello , and hell ... i want to play fallout 3! anybody invented a time machine? please i can't wait... :)
 
Lasix-9 is my name. I've done RPing on and off for awhile on other forum, and in tabletop.

I'll try to get in on some new starting game if I can find one.

Heck, I will even join as a player if you start a good one. I've been looking forward to start a game myself, but I've been busy with real life lately.
 
Hey folks I have just rediscovered this forum after a hiatus of about 3 years. I just wanted to say hello, and wondered if anybody remebered me from the old wasteland(?) series. I had a blast before and I would love to jump into the systemic annhilation RP which i have just finished reading to current.
 
Welcome back, PyroPhoenix! You must have been here before my time. Trag originally created Systematic Annihilation, but he hasn't been on the board for 15 months. Stompie and I have been keeping it going at a much slower pace, but he hasn't been around for almost two months either. You're welcome to join and jump right in. I don't know how often I'll be able to post, but I hope I can make a post every week or two. I was planning to move the story's clock forward to evening in my next post and get back to the main group, but it's currently mid-afternoon. Of course if your character isn't interacting with the ones I've introduced and events in our posts don't affect each other's, there's no reason your posts have to be in sync with mine at this point. Events in New Reno should be picking up starting in about four days from now in the story, but you can certainly have other things going on.

Edit- Lol I just went and reread some old posts. Incase anyone remembers me as an asshole, please understand that I was an incredibly bitter young man going through a very difficult series of tragic events in my life at the time of some of my old postings. It actually amazes me to see my old self in writing and how different I am today having matured into a person that is almost a 180 degree flip from my old bitter self. Either way it is my active imagination and love of storytelling that brings me here and I sincerely look forward to RPing with everybody.
 
'Lo, my fellow RPers.

Been in the biz for two or three years now, and I'm not one to gloat but I'll say I've learned a few things. I was looking for a collection of Fallout RPers on google when I found Targ's "Systematic Annihilation" RP. That really caught my attention and encouraged me to join. I was planning to hop in, but hearing he hasn't been around is a bit of a foil.

Nonetheless, I'm quite good at searching around. Normally all I need to get into contact with someone is the viewpage of their forum account. No promises but I may be able to find him in this vast sea we call the Internets.

Hope to RP with you guys, I see quite a lot of good here and I hope I can finally exert my need for large posts. Most forums I originally went to was filled with bad RPers that only did one liners and worse RPs based off things like Tomigotchi..

I don't know how I made it through that field of idiocy without losing a couple hundred... thousand braincells.

Aah, but listen to me rant. I'd prefer if you didn't, I could go on and on and on, comes naturally.

Well, yeah, seriously this time. Glad to be here, hope to stay a while, yadda yadda.
